Operating since 1978, BULKGROUP is an international establishment that encompasses various companies across the globe with a special — though not exclusive — focus on all things cement-related. More notably, the group’s main activities revolve around commodities trading, cement manufacturing, shipping, port operations and logistics.

GROUP HISTORY

1978 –  Establishment of SAMI ZACCA TRADING CO.
1987 –  Change of name to BULK TRADERS INTERNATIONAL.
1993 –  Establishment of CONSOLIDATED BULK INC. replacing BULK TRADERS INTERNATIONAL’s offshore activities.
1994 –  Initiation of ship owning operations under the management of CONSOLIDATED BULK INC.
2002 –  Establishment of ASH PLUS, a 300.000 tons per annum fly ash processing plant, located in Soma, Tukey.
2006 –  Establishment of SEASHORE MARITIME, with a rep office in Piraeus, Greece, taking over CBI’s ship management activities.
2007 –  Sale of ASH PLUS to Baticim Cement, part of the Bati group, Turkey.
2010 –  Acquisition of shares in CEMINTER INTERNATIONAL in Constanta, Romania, a 500.000 tons per annum cement terminal.
2010 –  Establishment of the Tripoli Lebanon Coal Terminal, under the CBI umbrella.
2011 –  Establishment of GUINEE INDUSTRIES CIMENTS, a 350.000 tons per annum clinker grinding factory located in Conakry, Guinea.
2013 –  Completion of the first expansion to GUINEE INDUSTRIES CIMENTS’ production facilities, elevating the capacity to 750.000 tons annually.
2018 –  Completion of the 2nd expansion to GUINEE INDUSTRIES CIMENTS’ production facilities, elevating the capacity to 1.500.000 tons annually.
2018 –  Merger of CEMINTER INTERNATIONAL with DECIROM, forming a leading port operations & logistics entity at the port of Constanta.
